Celebrating another wonderful year with my No Chintz friends...

I hope you all had a lovely fulfilling week, I certainly did!
I think my highlight would have to be my work x-mas party at 'John and Peter Canteen' in Everleigh. Apart from the lovely company and the brilliant food, I, along with my designer colleagues thought the interior of the space was both creative and a little inspiring. With the industrial feel of the old Carriage Works building the space was simply yet cleverly decorated!
I think the two ideas that did it for me would have to be the white tassels which hung around all four sides of the restaurant and moved slightly in the breeze and the long colourful table which had a patch work of differing ikat-like designs. I wonder if it was just wrapping paper pressed under a clear laminate?  Maybe any of us can create a table top like this for our homes?
I don't know if you're like me but I get a little excited when I get the opportunity to eat out at new funky restaurants, for the decor, the vibe, the atmosphere etc... just admiring the works of creative people. Oh and maybe a little for the food!
